Day 1

We finally kicked off our new editorial excercise. This time my part is 50% photographer and 50% editor, so I haven't been up to that much action yet. Except for taking the byline picture for our crew my only photo assignment today was to cover SSU's seminar.

Not always the most motivating light and event I guess. But the day in whole has been great, and I'm already looking forward for tomorrow.

Sportz

It's been a lot of sport this past week. I've been shooting hockey, floorball and basketball in Sundsvall and Umeå. The more sport I shoot, the more I realise how much I suck at it. But I don't mean that in a selfdestructive way; I get more and more motivated to keep doing it and competing with myself. Sport photography is almost like a sport itself. You have to be quick, focused and, maybe most important of all, practice.

Story: The carwash

The past weeks I've been working on my first real reportage.

I've been following this carwash, called Biltvätten and the people who work there. As I said in the last post, it's a workplace arranged by Sundsvalls Kommun for people with diferent kinds of disabilities. I've met some extraordinary people and heard stories of great joy, and of great sadness.

It's been a pleasure.
